Practical tips
Tip 1
Write the budget down
A verbal “around twenty” isn't enough. Amount, currency, whether shipping counts. Hybrid teams: buy locally or pick something that ships.
Tip 2
Exclude couples first
People who live together otherwise gift each other and everyone else notices. Partners, sometimes parent-child: add them, then draw.
Tip 3
Keep wishes small
Three to seven things within the limit. Size and colour if it's clothes. “Used is fine” saves everyone money.
Tip 4
Local or homemade
A mug from the shop around the corner or “I'll cook for you” often beats the tenth chocolate calendar.

No. Open the link, reserve a wish. The person you drew doesn't see who it was.
